You make it look and sound so easy......
I'm not turning yet, in fact it may be almost a year before I can get the funds together to get a 'one time buy' lathe. But I really enjoyed learning something!!
Scott (I bet I'm gonna bust a lot of pine cones) B

Doug How do you keep from getting the CA everywhere. I got some on my hand yesterday and tried to wipe it off with a paper towel and I still got little pieces of blue on my knuckles. Nice job on the tutorial.

Thanks Fred.
You should see my hands! Dang it is hard to get CA glue off of stuff...including hands. Even with that debonder stuff. Acetone is supposed to work on CA glue, so that might be something you can try if you have some handy.
I have gotten some pretty painful burns from CA when it soaks thru a paper towel and sticks to my hand. Ouch! I'm a lot more careful now, but it still happens occasionally, especially with thin CA.

You might want to invest in some game cleaning gloves when handling the CA? Can get them from BassPro, GanderMtn, Cabelas, etc in 25 count containers(that's 25 pair). I use them during painting, staining, cleaning the occassional deer during a hunting trip.....
I'll be looking the forrest floor over for some closed cones this weekend!!
Scott (glue the gloves, not the hands) B

I have an old wheelbarrow under the pine tree... ... where I put all of the dropped pine cones... ... The exploded ones go to the fireplace... ... The closed ones are set aside for further study... ;D ;D
I don't even have to walk very much or climb anything! (subject to change... depending on how much Cody wants to pay me to climb my tree! ;D ;D )

Heck Joe, I might have to pitch in too if you video it and post it here ;D Otherwise, you'll just have to show us what you can get from the wheelbarrow.
