I like the profile was that your chuck tenon on the bottom or did you turn it in there intentionally?

I like the bowl - your love did a nice job filling it! Zac

I'm gonna guess Pecan. It's definitely a hard wood. It might be Oak. Did it smell kinda bad when you cut it? If so, I'd say Oak. Either way it made a beautiful bowl.

I'm gonna guess Oak too. That really looks like Oak to me.
I agree about the bottom - first time I have seen both a tenon and a recess turned on the bottom of a bowl. Very interesting.
Love the pine cones your better half used to decorate it. Looks nice!

Color is about right for pecan, but the grain seems more like a white oak. Nice bowl.

Definitely oak. My guess is White Oak. Grain looks very familiar, simply because I had a huge White oak in my backyard cut down recently. Now, if I could only find a good bandsaw at a decent price....
