I couldn't get a very good picture of this pen. It's another Philippine ebony, but this part of the wood was pretty dark and it's hard to make out the grain in the picture. I went with my brother to a woodworking show in the spring, and he liked the feel of this one. I went for a while without a 12mm drill bit, but finally got one so I could make this for him.  |

I guess all Ebony's are not Black Black...? I think Gabon ebony is the only one that's really dark black (sapwood excluded). |
