Well almost, lack about 8 tubes of caulk (on order they don't stock it). My trees in front of the house didn't fair the Winter very well, I'm hoping they will fill back in by Fall. Got one that is completely dead so I'll have to replace it. Now I just need to clean out all the scrap pieces of siding in my woodshop. The place is a disaster: Had about 15 sixteen foot pieces of siding left. I'm thinking I might use them for forms when I redo my front concrete steps. Now if I can just find a place to store them until I have the money to start that project. What do you think? Thanks ~Mike

The house looks great!
No chance to return what is left for credit? It seems a shame to use siding for forms . . . but if that is what it is to be used for, covered outside storage is a possibility. Otherwise, maybe some wall brackets up high in the shop?

The house looks great! Thank you.No chance to return what is left for credit? Nope, they told me that I could order a few extra pieces if I ran short but they were special order so I can't return any of it.It seems a shame to use siding for forms . . . but if that is what it is to be used for, covered outside storage is a possibility. Otherwise, maybe some wall brackets up high in the shop? My steps are less than 4 feet wide, I was also planning to try to use them as "stamps" when I redo the sidewalk out front and those are 5 feet deep so I think I will cut whats left into 4 and 5' sections and store them up in the attic of the woodshop. As long as it doesn't take me to many years to come up with the funds for the project and I forget they are up there
Thanks ~Mike

Curb appeal might be better if my trees come back ;D
Thanks again. ~Mike

While lots of folks on my street hand out in their front yards and such, I prefer the privacy of the back under the pergola. The front faces west and can get purty durn warm in the early evening.

Larry Funny you should ask, with the siding project finally completed the wife and I finally got a chance to get the pond cleaned up and filled this week. The bridge decking needs stained again, but other than that it's holding up well. As you can see it handles the weight of my lawn mower (400 pounds, with me on it 580 pounds. Yea I need to lose about 25 pounds ;D )Thanks ~Mike

Mike, You sure have done a lot of work on your house. Nice job with the siding. Larry Went threw some of my old photo albums, I can only find one picture of my house when we first bought it back in 1981, and it's of the back of the house. It originally was 24' x 24' with this little room on the back that held a washer / dryer and refrigerator and the water line to the washer would freeze up in the winter. Wish I could find one of the front, oh well gives you an idea what we started with. Winter 1981 back of my house: Spring 2010: 29 years, thousands of dollars, thousands of hours labor later and I'm still not done ;D It's now 24' x52' (62' if you count the roof covered deck). Thanks ~Mike
