Some Sierra Canadian Shredded Currency pen blanks using Resin Saver mold rather than pouring a slab and having to use a pressure pot. Had some difficulties which I will post in another thread. Les

did you allow to cure in open air? Did you use the same resin? I place the mold into my Warming Chamber to cure and gas-off. Yes, I use the same Polyester Resin. Les

Now that is pretty nifty Les! And, I have to say that Canadian money is very colorful. Should make very nice pens.

Do you have to use a pressure pot with those molds?

Do you have to use a pressure pot with those molds? E No pressure pot required for this type of casting. I do use a pressure post for Slab Casting. Les

Can you tell me why you do not have to use the pressure pot for the "Resin Saver" molds but you have to for the slab mold? Thanks Ben

With the Resin Saver Mold there is a much smaller surface area with easy access to see and remove bubbles before the PR starts to set.
