Just curious as to what folks feel are the best stoppers kits to use? I believe I saw a post but lost it when the kids decided to play with a hammer and nails on the hardwood floors!
Thanks all

Welcome Stoobie! Most of us here prefer the Ruth Niles stainless steel bottle stoppers. They are milled in the USA (somewhere in Pennsylvania) and are great value for what you get. Woodturningz is even carrying them now at a very decent price www.woodturningz.com/Wine_Bottle_Stopper_Kits.aspx

Yep - Ruth Niles is the way to go to be honest. If you want some cheaper kits just to get going, you could get anything from Woodturningz or PSI (Penn State Inustries).
I suggest the Ruth Niles SS kits - and to start with - don't glue the stoppers in, that way if you end up not liking the stopper - you can always reuse the kit.

Stoobie I luv the RN stoppers , I have to say in my opinion they are not that much of a selling point , or havent been with me, I honestly think they are the best on the market, but the price is kinda steep.
Myself I mostly use the chrome teardrop stoppers from Craft Supplies. Peolple just seem to like the looks of them better for some reason. So if I was just starting out I think I would go with some cheaper ones first , then see if u like doin stoppers then u can offer both at diff price ranges. U can also get the mandrel for this from Penn State with the bit for 10 dollars , Dont use the bit its to big , if u go this way use a 5/16 bit. Hope this helps more than confuse ur choice. Boodrow
