Dock construction

42 ft of deck left to reach the main deck. I should reach this milestone by the end of this coming weekend.

Looking good,,,,,,,,,,,,,just a couple of questions.

I can see how one could work their way around the pilings when fishing but when you put the upper deck/floor in,,,,,,,,,how are you going to cast your rod?

It also appears the dock deck is already at the main deck,,,,,,what have you done there, just positioned the deck boards and stuck them down someway temporarily or is the photo hiding the open undecked area?

I see some shorter pilings at the far side of the main deck, is this possibly for your fishing deck with out any vertical/overhead obstructions?

The main deck is 16x32 ft and that will be the part with the upper deck. The fishing deck is 10x32ft and that will be the part left open and will only have tall piling at the corners. The other pilings will be lower it should be easy to cast around them.

I put down temporary boards so I could walk all the way to the main deck and did the wiring.

Are you going to pop a line and cut off the uneven ends of the deck boards and if so how you going to catch the pieces,,,,,,,,,,,how about a battery operated skill saw and stand in a boat,then the drops can fall in the boat, ;D

I hope you put plenty of lights on the dock so boats don't run into it.

Knowing you, you probably covered every angle of safety.
