Does the BORG sell those little metal figure-8 metal pieces used to attach tabletops to the frame and still allow for some wood movement? I didn't have a chance to get there today to check, and I need some by next weekend, so I don't know if internet ordering will suffice.

I've never seen 'em there - I've only been able to order'em online. Most online-ordering vendors offer super-fast delivery for an extra price. It's expensive, but it's FAST. Some of the eBay vendors (Buy It Now) do dang fast delivery, too, but that's hit and miss.

I have only ever seen them at woodworking stores locally (Woodcraft, Rockler).

i'd be right tempted to go with wood clips in a groove myself Then again - now that I have metal working capabilities, I would prolly try 'n make my own figure 8s, too

Thanks all. Maybe I will just make myself some wood clips and do it that way. The table is mahogany...is it OK to use that for the clips, too, or should I choose something else?

It's ok to use wood for the clips, just a lot more work than the figure 8's

Same wood as the table (mahogany), though, or is some other type of wood better?
Then again, maybe I'll take a look around and see if I can find those figure-8's after all...

Mahogany should work very very well for that purpose.
