It arrived! Lots of cool stuff. Hard to decide what to take. Did not want to take all the best stuff - but it was all great! Here is what i took out: persimmon, red gum, walnut, colorgrain, spalted pecan, afzelia, padauk, a couple pen kits, a keychain kit, and eee polish... And what I put in: HA! Gotcha! Only for the next person to see... But I must say, there are some pretty cool things in there, methinks The package will go out tomorrow... But to whom? this is awesome - cannot wait for the next one! Great idea Leo...

I really hope you took out enough to make it worth you while -- there's still a lot of stuff in that box.

I'm sure you noticed.....
But I found it amazing exactly how much stuff could be packed into that box! You scored some good stuff!!!
When is Part II "The Swap Box" going to begin?
Scott (sequel would be hard not to join) B

Leo, the box has to keep going to someone doesn't it? Or does the last guy have to keep it all and not get to send anything to anyone?

Leo, the box has to keep going to someone doesn't it? Or does the last guy have to keep it all and not get to send anything to anyone? For now - I - am the last on the list. I have no intentions of keeping all that stuff. Just remember, I filled the started box and took nothing out so far, but I paid to ship it. If someone wants to do another swap - I will take some stuff and send it on - but for now - I was just thinking of sending out a pile of gift packs - but that is a pile of postage too. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ?? --- Any ideas --- ??

perhaps we amend the rules ---- Leo - once you get the box back you take out some goodies, whatever you like, and hold it. just leave it on the shelf. When someone on here wants it, they ask, you mail it. They receive it, do the same as always, and hold onto it. Someone says, "Me next"...
Crazy, stupid? I dunno... Just an idea.

Not a bad idea John.
Seriously..... we ARE growing..... we WILL have a new home soon. I'm sure we will have some new aspiring and budding turners show up - maybe some flatworkers will get the turning bug and want to give it a go. I'd be nice to have an assembled box of goodies "somewhere in space" that we could offer up..... again - just adding to the ideas.

Personally, I like the idea of a round 2. Let anyone sign up who wants to participate and start the whole thing over again. From some of the comments of others who did the first go round I think they would be interested in that as well.
Leo, you done good getting it going, but if you don't want to keep it going, then by all means send it on to someone who does want to keep it going. If nobody else wants to do it, then I'd be happy to. But you had said something about sending it on to Andrew in Canada, and I even offered to help you with the cost...that seemed like a good plan. What happened to that idea?

I got no problem keeping it going.
I can put it on the shelf and wait.
We can do anything with it.
I am open to any suggestions.
I can send it to Andrew too
Andrew --- please PM your address to me.
