This past winter I bought a new table saw (Grizzly G0690), and I love it. The idea was that I'd sell my old saw (G0444z). Thing is, my new shop is pretty spacious, and I just ... couldn't ... bring myself to sell it.
It's a good saw, but it's not just that. When I bought that saw five years ago, it was after scraping up the money for it for months, reading and rereading the reviews, negotiating with the Purchasing Director (aka End User, LOML and wife of fifteen years as of yesterday) etc. ... knowing/hoping that having a real table saw would help me get to the next level of woodworking (it replaced a very jumpy benchtop direct drive saw).
Anyhow, today I sold it to a good friend of mine who does a lot of set building in local theatre as well as a lot of home improvement. I broke it down this morning, labeled the pieces, and turned it over to her this afternoon. I've only emailed her once about it since then, to offer long-distance support for getting it up and running.
I have great affection for some of my tools, but most of them are ones my dad gave me that his dad gave him (not all ... one of my favorite tools is a no name flathead screwdriver I found along the road). It surprises me, a little, to find that I'll miss that thing.
Not that I'm ready to trade my new cabinet saw to get back or anything ...

If I had had the space in my garage shop, I would have kept my Ryobi BT3000 after I got my Griz Cabinet Saw. It was still very good at specific tasks with the sliding miter table. I gave it to a friend to use as a jobsite saw, and I did have a bit of a tear in my eye to see it leave.

Heck, I got a Jet exacta saw for $400. Clianed the rust, and good to go. The new barn I'm designing will have room for the Jet AND my G0444z. My G-pa gave the money for it so it's kind of a reminder of him everytime I run boards on it. And all the jigs I made for it won't fit the Jet. I'll find a use for it. Now my Bosch that is in the box truck, that I'd get rid of. Yeah I know, 3 saws. Tom

Funny you brought up the jigs ... I didn't think about them until it was too late. I spent a little time yesterday trying to move the runners on a miter sled and a box joint jig. I should have just thrown them in with the saw, I guess, and started over, but it never occurred to me.
