Huh - that ain't bad at all!
I wish i could find a slider without the big badger tail off the back end .... for LESS than $600 (no kapex for me, thx)

Kapex is what Festool calls their SCMS - they're real dang proud of it, too. It does have side-rails so it doesn't have that big tail off the back that takes up so much space ... but it's VERY expensive. Good tool, i'm sure, but more money than I'm willing to plunk down on one.

I played with one in a store ... great machine from what I could tell, and the dust collection with the Festool vac (no, they don't call it a vac) was very impressive. Worth the money? Maybe, but not to me. I have the Dewalt 12" slider, and I love it ... got a very good deal on it and the stand at Lowes a few years ago. Sure, it would be nice if it could sit closer to the wall, but it's not a big problem for me.
