I've been making some progress, got this side of the house done, caulked, used 9 tubes of caulk on this side. I'm glad I got that Ryobi powered caulk gun. The two switches are for roof and gutter heat cables, left for left side right for right side. outlet and light switch covers painted green. I got started on this side of the house Thursday, worked on it till it started to snow. Supposed to snow threw the weekend, highs in the upper 30's low 40's. Looks like Monday is supposed to be 60° but they are forecasting 40's & 50's and rain/snow the rest of next week. I think this would go fairly quickly if the weather would cooperate. Thanks ~Mike

Between snowing and some back issues, I got a little bit more done, though not as much as I should have. My son came over the other evening and we moved out about half the siding and then re-stacked it so each stack contained the same pattern, should make things a bit easier to pattern match (saves having to dig threw the stack) Routed out the old siding to run the wires for my low voltage bell lights, painted them green too. Also decided not to mess with moving the electric meter over (would have been nice to have a straight pipe from the meter to the house) just didn't' feel like tearing into the roof and soffits I had done a few years ago. I did paint it brown to match the siding better though. I do think this siding is going to make the house look even smaller, which I guess is okay. What do you think of it so far? Thanks ~Mike

I think it looks really good Mike. It adds a lot to the appearance of the house.

Thanks guys, Got a little more done this weekend. Not tons, my back slipped out last Saturday, been to the chiro twice since but still gets sore pretty quickly so I take a lot of breaks, which works out okay as the wife likes the extra time it takes me to walk up to the woodshop to get and cut the siding so she had more time to clean house, do the laundry while waiting for me to hold the other end of the siding for me. Still lack the corner other side of the window, got steps there so I'm going to use my dad's ladder that bends in 3 places to make a scaffold to set another ladder on top of, next week sometime after the coming rain/snow they have forecast, then just two more sides. I do like the look of the new siding but it sure makes my house look smaller. What do you think of it? Thanks ~Mike
