Well I did the best thing yet I put my Rikon onto a mobile bench made it so I can sit at it with my wheel chair Legs not doing to good seems to be getting worse in that department so have to compromise the situation.

Lookin' good - I sure wish you didn't have to compensate like that, but ya did a good job of makin' the best of the situation.

Thanks Tim yeah but I got use to making things more accessible for my situation that 3" bridge white oak I was going to use it for bowl blanks but it all developed a crack so now it will help me when I get into turning bowl blanks just heavy enough so it won't go dancing on me.

I too have my lathe mounted for sitting. With all the surgeries done on 'em, you'd think my feet and lower legs wouldn't complain so much about standing for more than a few minutes, but they do... Bilateral Clubfoot is fun, fun indeed.
We must do what we must to accomplish our goals. Good on ya for finding a way to keep on keepin' on! I need to find a good counterbalance for mine too. When I mount a slightly out of round bowl, or any heavy blank, she gets to bouncin' a bit.
