Double Twist ballpoint with Black Ash Burl.

I turned this one so that a small amount of the gold band on the coupler shows below the center band. I don't know why a lot of the kit instructions want to hide this fitting inside the center band?
IMHO I think it looks better with a small amount of the gold coupler band showing.

Finished the blanks with 6 coats of Minwax Fast Drying Clear Gloss Polyurethane and applied 2 protective coats of Brazilian Carnauba.

As always comments and or suggestions appreciated.

Very nice pen - I agree - that little bit of coupler does look nice - why hide it??

That really is a some nice looking wood and a well made pen Les. I'll be different though and say that I do not like seeing the coupler exposed. Just my personal preference.
