My niece just graduated from Vet Tech school. I wanted to make her a special pen. Problem was, what kind of wood to use. Didn't take me too long to decide..........what else but dogwood. When I had her name lasered on, I had the engraver also engrave paw prints on the barrel.

Dogwood, that's the perfect wood to use for a vet and she will never forget what kind of wood her pen is made of. The paw prints just make it extra special. What a fantastic gift Monty!

Mannie! What a Perfect gift! ;D ;D Looks beautiful! ... those animal tracks, though... are you sure they are Dog prints and not Cat tracks? Maybe it doesn't make any difference! ;D ;D Great job!

I instantly thought dogwood - glad you chose it. Very cool laser engraving - I first saw the post on my iPhone and wasn't sure if you did the "print and press" kind of wording - you know, that kit that PSI sells.
Very cool - did you send the pen away to be engraved or did you have someone local?

I usually take anything that I want engraved to her there. We live about 30 miles apart.
