Nice job. I like the step by step details. It really helps a newbie like me see the process. Keep it coming. Can't wait to see the final results

That's looking REAL good!
I remember Norm showing a similar project... ... a round table top, etc. just like yours.
A key very important point he made when mounting the top:
Do NOT have the table Top grain going parallel to any Apron... ... make it go Diagonally...
Otherwise, the table top hanging over could be very weak and break over time.
Just in case you didn't see it... or know about it... ;D

If you look carefully at the grain, you'll see that even for this picture I have it oriented that way, as that is indeed how I intend to mount the top to the base. those green cabinets in the background. Are those Lista cabinets? ? I'm not sure...I got them from a college that was updating some classroom space and was selling the old bits and pieces.

Those are industrial grade cabinets - worth thousands of dollars.

Those are industrial grade cabinets - worth thousands of dollars. Oh yes, they definitely are expensive industrial-grade cabinets. I believe I got them for $100. Edit: They're Philco-Ford.

You're right... ;D I didn't notice it before... ... my screen must have been blurry... ... my eyes aren't what they used to be... Very good!
