i havent finished turning them all its a winter project but, here someone can see them. i dont have the best tools to work with but, im trying.

Nice job so far TLC! I started a chess set many moons ago and never could match up the pawns well enough to keep going. Someday I'll get a round tuit.

Those are looking good so far! I have a chess board on my to-do wish list. Been hoarding some special pieces of wood for the project.

Great job ,how are you going to do the Knights?Is that an unfinished Queen(dark one) or a finished King? dick yeah i didnt explain types of wood or anything sorry. poplar and walnut. the dark one is the first walnut king i turned i need to do more finishing to it to get a good gloss. and after the finish cut the cross in the top. knights turn some of it and then off set it and turn the rest. i need more pratice with it.

Those chess pieces look great. I made a set a couple years ago but I want to make another one now. My pawns weren't consistent in size and the beads had a lot of tearout...probably because I made a beading tool out of a screwdriver. A chess table/board and a new chess set are on my roundtoit list.

A chess table/board and a new chess set are on my roundtoit list. all i got is some curving tools and yes i use the screw drivers too. ill finish the rest of the pieces this winter. as long as they come out close its ok with me its just for looks in my living room.
