No prob. man - it came out looking really good for you! I've yet to try the dipping method on a bottle stopper.... I really should try the wipe on poly route, in fact - I'm going to post a question in the other forum. Looks good - I love the quick grip clamp as the display holder! Zac

boo, I like that one a lot. I was leary on the laquer too but I do like it. Seems like I get a lot of runs that I have to wet sand flat but once I get the runs out I mm thru 12k and eee and it comes out just as good as wipe on poly

That is beautiful Boodrow. I like the shape too. And even though the Lacquer dipping gave you issues, it looks fantastic. I turn the pen or bottle stopper upside and and back many times while waiting for the Lacquer to cure enough so that it does not run on me. That takes a few extra minutes but seems to work out for me. Also, I "fling" the chit out of it right after dipping to make sure I get as much excess off as possible. Maybe I'm just good at "slinging chit" ;D
That is too funny too, because I just turned a Blister Maple pen today. Same source for the wood too. Hehehe. I gotta go put that last coat of CA on it and get a picture. Thanks Zac!

after I dip em, If it is running and I cant sling it off by hand. I put it back on the lathe for about 3 seconds. That slings of the excess for sure
