Thanks deep splinter. The cherry is 8/4came in rough i milled it to size. The sheer weight of it was a big burden i work by myself in the shop.I cut 2inch conduit to lay it on so air would get nat both sides. There is allot of hours of hand scraping and sanding with a straight edge. The base is also solid cherry. If anyone comes into the house to steal this table and they can lift it they can have it.I would like to make matching chairs someday but my skill level has to improve allot before then.Iam going to make a side board for it this winter.

Darrell, great work.
Do you have a pic of the wine cabinet and bookshelf with the doors closed? I'd like to see it.

I think there is software that can be integrated or a way to batch resize from an original post to submited during the wheel turning to a site such as this one.Now don't ask me how,I said I think, LOL,,,, maybe some of you Guru's could figure that out.
I hate to resize photos myself, seems like I always screw something up

Nice work Darrell! I am very jealous of your shop! So that's where you hide the booze...in the book case Oh wait, those are cookbooks...that alcohol must be just for cooking and medicinal purposes, eh? ;D

Nice pretty stuff, Darrell! Dick (and all)... Microsoft Photo Editor (comes with any breed of Microsoft Office) is a dang slick way of resizing photos. Same goes for any of a wild array of freeware & shareware. Years ago I started using BatchThumbs to make thumbnails for web pages, but it can be used to batch-resize photo files to any dimensions. Marie uses it to shrink her humongous billion-megapixel photos down to 800x600 so they're email-friendly - it'll do whole directoryfuls at a time. It's a free download at: www.harmware.net/bthumbs.htm

That is a very nice shop, enviable to say the least. And looks like some mighty fine stuff comin out of it. I've posted this over at the other place but I'll post it here, too. I think Doc Kerry pointed this one out originally, but here is a simple to use batch photo resizer that sits on your desktop. You set the output size by right clicking the icon, choose "rename" from the drop down, then change the numbers in the name to the number if pixel across that you want to resize the pic. 600 to 800 is a good size for posting on the net. To use it, simply open Windows Explorer less than full screen, leaving the resizer icon visible on the screen, go to the directory where the photos are stored and select the photos you want to resize. Remember holding shift down while selecting allows you to choose several of the photos in sequence, holding down [CTRL] allows you to select a number of files not in sequence. Then simply drag the selected photos over and drop them onto the desk top icon for the program. The program saves the resized photos in the same directory where you had them with the same name with the pixel size amended to that name, leaving your original file intact. www.rw-designer.com/picture-resize

On the resizing topic. I'm fond of the powertoy. www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/Downloads/powertoys/Xppowertoys.mspxIt's an MS tool so it's integrated. Look on the right side of that page, download the image resizer and run it. Once installed, all you have to do is select some photos, right click, and there will be a resize option on your menu. Click and tell it which size. Voila.

Darrell,
You do not have to keep your pics to yourself at all, it's pretty easy to resize pics, with some of the files out there, a fella can resize a pi to 800x600 in no time.
I like the pics myself!

I've just been letting Imageshack resize 'em. Works pretty easy. When I get some time, I'll try'n come up with a tutorial with screen shots and such.

Thanks guys.I wish i could have got involved in the other site while i was experimenting with some of these projects.I had allot of questions and could have saved myself allot of pain and aggravation. That being said i did learn allot lurking though like how to cut a cove on the table saw. That scared the crap out of me.But hey this site is rocking i plan on getting to know some of you and learning how to be better.Maybe even start using my lathe.Have been wanting to make some pens.I did make some fishing lures that worked pretty good on the strippers at the jetties this spring.
