A few weeks after the folks moved into the house next door, the man of the house came over to borrow one of my ladders so that he could hang some Christmas lights on the house. First words out of his mouth were to the effect that he was the live-in ex-husband of the woman next door. Needless to say, that did not impress me as a very smart thing to be doing, and even less so to be advertising.  |
