A monk is sitting at his table patiently transcribing yet another scroll and a thought occurs to him.
He asks his superior, "Father, how do we know the scroll I am copying is actually correct? Could an earlier monk have made a mistake?"
His superior replies, "We thought of that. We keep the originals down in the cellar just in case." and with that the superior disappears dwon the stairs.
A little while later, he comes back up. Tears are streaming down his face, and he mutters, "The word was 'celebrate'"

She liked it. ;D So did the fella in the church who grew up Catholic, and got quite a way through Catholic Seminary before he realized he was more interested in comparative religion than in becoming a Priest and moved on to become a scientist.
