I have not even been taking pics of all my pens lately, but this area seems to need a little more action, so here is the pen I made today.
A fellow vendor at the last craft show that I made friends with gave me a piece of wood that he had. He has had it a long, long time and could not remember exactly what it was, but he thought it was something nice. Just enough to make a pen with, or 2 single barrel pens with. He re-loads his own ammo too, so I thought I would make him a cartridge pen with half of it and save the other half for some other single barrel pen in the future if it looked good.
It looks like Walnut burl to me, but who knows? Anyway, I can't wait to surprise him with it. He bought a low end pen from me at the show, but I could tell he likes and appreciates wood, but he is retired and on a fixed income and did not sell much at the craft show.
