Here's an attempt with mesquite(thanks DougB). Guess PSI will no longer get my business. They don't answer the phone, return messages, or emails for that matter. To bad for them! Cause I got me some pen making fever!!!! Took the halogen light off the desk and shined it over by the pen. Still not wanting to get the light bix out....it would really show the mistakes! This is a few layers of CA for the finish. Sanded between layers with 1000grit, wiped the dust off, and cranked the speed up to generate some heat!! Yes, it's variable. Scott (dang bushing, I'll get some) B

Scott - THAT is a sharp looking pen. WOW - you must really like the cartridge style Nice job, I know many people like the 24kt gold ones, ever tried the Chrome - I like the Chrome and awful lot too. Check out www.woodturningz.com - They have nearly everything PSI has, at cheaper prices, and flat rate shipping - no handling charges - just the flat rate shipping. REAL nice guys there. (Thank Doug for that site, he passed it along and I've REALLY been glad he has - it is a site to bookmark.) Zac

Wow! is right. Man you made a huge jump on this one. It looks like you got the wood turned perfectly fit to the hardware. Nice looking Mesquite too And the burn lines look real sharp. Picture is better too! Yep, you are definitely hooked on penmaking now ;D
