I like the new shape Mav. Both of the woods are fantastic, and the finish looks extremely shiny. Nice job!
How many coats of the Lacquer did you use?

thanks guys. I really like making bottle stoppers since they are pretty easy and fun to make. I have been struggling coming up with different designs so I am glad these turned out good. the cocobolo one I dipped it 2 times and the black palm was dipped about 5 times. I kept seeing the pores in the black palm and just kept dipping till i didn't see them anymore. it got up to 70 or so today so I left them in the sun for several hours to make sure they were good/cured and then mm tonight around 445. I should probably wait 24-48 hrs before mm but they felt pretty dry to me.

Boodrow Boodrow, I have only driven a Chevy or GMC picup ever since I got my first good paying job. And, I've made just enough from my turning so's I don't have to drink that nasty natty light and to buy one of them bumper stickers for my pickup that says "Don't blame me...I didn't vote for the SOB" ;D |
