Thanks, Joe, Boodrow, Fred
It does take a little extra work to document a build and thanks for recognizing such. It's not terribly bad, though...as long as my internet connection and ImageShack are working okay. Actually snapping the pics is a piece of cake. It's remembering to stop and take the pics that is the difficult part. ;D
If I build another rocker, this thread chould help me remember the steps, too.
Thanks again for following along and for the comments.

Commisioned jobs are NEVER the same fun as a just for fun job.
EVERY time I am doing something for hire - I just want it to get done.
No matter -- you DONE GOOD.
Your client will be proud of what they now own.
I am going to print out this entire thread and put it in my "Shop Notes" folder. That is my 3 ring binder in my shop - for ONLY SPECIAL things.
Special thinks to me are reminders of special friends and events in my life.
I also have a 1/2 Winchester chisel that I use ALL the time in my shop - SPECIAL.

Cody, just a quick holler to tell you how much I've enjoyed following your progress along! The rocker turned out very nice, and I too would like to sit in it a rock a spell. Good job!

Thanks, Jim. Now I only have to get enough time home to finish it and then get it delivered. I'm changing employers and only get the weekend off after these two weeks offshore. I'm afraid I may end up in Singapore for a month.

Cody,
Thanks for taking the time and effort to document and film this project. Another chance to learn a few things plus enjoy someone elses labor as they accomplish quality work. I enjoyed following along. Great job.
Good luck in the new job.

Too bad about the disruption of your work and life schedule Cody but there's many worse places than Singapore to visit in February. Satay on a stick , curry that goes down like swallowing a cat backward , and the delicate perfume of durian fruit wafting over the waterfront. IIRC there may still be a somewhat tolerable Roy Rogers steak joint near the Westin hotel. ;D

I finished the chair in February but didn't have or make time to get pictures taken until now. Anyway, here it is, my latest project in solid Bois d' Arc. It's one heavy chair, too. This finishes the build and thanks to everyone who followed along. I'm pretty sure I will soon get another rocker commission and I'm pushihng the client towards Zebrawood. We'll see.

Nice rocking chair. Is it really that yellow or is it the pic. We don't have that kind of lumber around here.

It's really that yellow. It's even brighter yellow when freshly cut. This lumber was kiln dried and the chair has sat in my shop since February.

How did you create the back drop. I don't see a floor to wall corner - did you photoshop blur that out. Ohh - the chair is nice. (just so you don't feel bad) ;D ;D

Leo, the backdrop was at Moto Photo. I don't have a sheet that big. ;D
Thanks for the chair comment.

Looks really good, Cody. Thanks for showing us the final result. Someone is going to be very proud of that chair.
