Ok I like this a lot but my favorite part that I had to look back at 3 times was the rising sun logo you have on either the bow or stern. It looks like the old rising sun japanese flag. Pretty cool. I am trying to figure out it that was all a glue up or veneer? Nice work.

Joel, The "sunburst" design is hand carved into a piece of 1x Aspen pine. I just made a pattern, cut it out and epoxied and screwed into place. I used English chestnut stain on the whole board then carved out the sunburst, revealing the true color of the pine. It is @ the bow of the boat. The stern is same wood w/ my initials and date. Thanks for the comments and question. BTW, I made the sunburst and located it on the bow, because, I love the sun and figured even on cloudy days I would have a little bit of sunshine.
