Very good! Just like Norm woulda done it! ;D ;D I noticed you have a hose way up front... Does that help the dust collection? I have the 555 also... I only use the main port for DC to my shop vac. Yours looks just like mine! ;D ;D

That's going to real look nice; it appears that the arc of the chair shoulder supports nearly matches the new table top radius.
Your fence rail set-up on the band saw looks pretty spiffy, is that an after market addition?

The table looks great. I like the way you showed the steps you took for the build.
I'm guessing you will leave the table natural to complement the flooring ?
I'll be back to see the progress.
Thanks for sharing, its nice to see someone is still producing in this snowing winter.

Thanks all. I do realize that this is kind of a boring build, compared to some of the things you guys do. Answering questions: It helps a bit. I'd like to augment a dust hood to work under the table and catch more, though. Nope, it's standard with the G0555 bandsaw. It is pretty similar, yep. Well, the floor is maple and the table is freshly sanded cherry. I will probably leave the table pretty much natural, as I like the look of natural cherry though. I may use some shellac as a sealer, so that could alter the color a bit, but not too much. It's hasn't been much of a snowy winter way up here in Maine.

No more boring than mine - Still love watching this stuff.
In case nobody else commented about it --- NICE, bandsaw.
Looking GREAT Rob, keep it up.

The BS is one fine saw. How does it perform as a resaw? BTW, the circle jig is nice also. What's the largest diameter you can cut on it?
The table is simply elegant. I like the design style. It is very similar to what I usually end up with. I like to keep the wood shaping to a minimum and let the natural beauty of the wood be the show stealer.
Keep us posted.

Table looks nice ... I'd like to see the circle cutting setup on the bandsaw If I remember correctly, I can cut a 30" radius with the circle cutting jig.

Great project, Rob! First, you must ahve been cooking breakfast while you were working on the table top. I see an egg beater laying there on it. ;D Second, I didn't notice it until Dave pointed it out but the arc on the chair crest rails IS almost identical to the table radius. Was that planned or just a happy coincidence? Lastly, I like your circle-cutting jig. I have one similar to it but I don't have the adjustable pivot point like yours does. I may have to include that feature on mine. I've just been driving a screw through from the bottom for the pivot point. I like yours better. Thanks for the progress reports and pics. We likey.
